Term 4 Reflection

Literacy- This week we had to pick out our best piece of work for term 4 and I chose My Country Study because I worked really hard on it. It is one of my Christmas Activities. I also love researching and I had lots of fun doing this country study! I had to look on a website that Miss P gave to us and find out some interesting facts about Christmas around the world. 

Numeracy- For My Best Numeracy I chose Me Kyra and Jordan P's map because I think we did really well with it and also because I enjoyed doing it. We had to find the top 11 tsunamis in the world and pin them where they happened in the world. 
Topic-  For my Best Topic DLO for term 4 I chose Me and Katelin's Acrostic Poem To Graeme because I love doing Acrostic Poems. We had to do a Poem for Graeme because it was his last day and we thought it would be nice. 

I hope everyone has a great holiday and a merry Christmas, also a happy new year. Thank you to everyone who commented on my blog this year, and I look forward to seeing all of my comments next year!

Numeracy Reflection Week 8 Term 4

Numeracy- This week for numeracy we have been doing a code cracker and I did it with Kaede. We only found 1 Christmas word that equaled 60 but other than that we didn't find any! Here it is.

Literacy Reflection W8T4

Writing- This week for literacy we have been doing free choice writing and Me Kaede and Katelin decided to do a news broadcast about Christmas Eve and it was so fun. We also did a couple of bloopers when Mr Wood came in a annoyed us. 😂  Here is our Screen Castifys. 

Homemade Gift (Main Star)

This term i decided to do my Homemade Gift a little bit different. I decided to bake Christmas muffins. These are photos of my making them and decorating them!
The Ingredients 4 TBSP of butter, the cupcake mix, 1/2 a cup of milk and 2 eggs.  

Next put all of the things in a bowl (witch I didn't get a photo of.)

After that mix the ingredients together.

And then put all of the ingredients in the cupcake tray.

And then put them in the oven at a 180 degree heat. 

After that WAIT 20-25 mins.

This is the finishing product but I still haven't decorated them yet though. 

When they cooled down I decorated them but I only did them for Cleo Mrs Prendergast, Kaede and Miss Nizzy

Make Dinner With Some Of Your Food From The Little Gardens (Main Star)

We didn't get many little gardens but we did get some and the ones that we have planted are still not ready so I decided to go and buy the things that we have planted witch were Broccoli and Carrot. The full meal we are having is: Chicken, Broccoli, Carrot, Corn with Cheese Sauce and Mashed Potatoes.

I like this book because it is short but very interesting because their is a little Princess and Her name is Agather and she hates being a princess so she snuck out of her castle and went and got really dirty in a farm. That is why I like this book.

Literacy- This week for literacy we have been learning why we have wisdom teeth and we did a explanation burger about it.  We also have to add another 3 things onto the doc that we have been doing. We also did a word cloud about the key words in the wisdom teeth writing. Here are my DLOs!!!!

Word Work- This week for word work I deiced to do Mixed Words Here is my DLO. 


Writing- This week for writing I did 2 things one about the big earthquake that we had and one about a made up myth that I made up about a Dragon. Here they are. 

Dragon Myth

Once Upon a Time there was a little baby dragon that just hatched out of it’s egg. It’s name was Ivy the magnificent and one day she was going to save the world. When she was 3 she set off the find somewhere to build a house.

One day she got a call from her mum “Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww”. Her Mum called. She went straight to her Mums house, she told Ivy that she had to save someone.

Ivy went to the person's house and their was a fire and she was so scared and she didn’t know what to do. So she called her Mum to help her but her Mum didn’t get their in time. Ivy had to do it herself so she did and she saved 4 people's life (witch were the only people who were in the house.

I was fast asleep until… Their was a massive noise BANG!! It sounded like a truck crashing into our house. Then the Earthquake started I called out to my Dad and he said "Get up and hide under the table," and I woke Pyper up and we ran out into the lounge and got under our breakfast bar Me my Mum and Pyper all were so scared and my Dad was not under the table he was walking around and checking if everything was OK.

I think it was like 3 and a half minutes later the Earthquake finished and I jumped into Mum and Dad's bed because I was very very scared that their was going to be another one. Then Mum rang lots of people to check if they were OK and safe. After that we looked up what point it was and what place it was in. It was a 7.5 and it was just out of Hanmer Springs in Cheviot.

In Nelson and Christchurch people had to evacuate and we know lots of people who live in those places. I think that the big Earthquake had something to do with the Super Moon that comes here in November!

I love this book because: It is really funny and it is also weird because their is a frog in a bog and a person comes and tells them to stop racing in their bogs, and then they crash into each other.
