My Dad

This book is OK because their is a boy that loves his dad so much and he tells the reader about his Dad. His Dad is strong and he is also lazy and he is especially funny! At the end the Dad tells his son that he could never live without him and he loves him to the moon and back again and then they fight over who loves each other the most! I recommend this book to 19 and under people because it is short story and it is really easy to read!

Lillie Alone Part 2
Her Mum went away to Spain with her boyfriend and left her 4 kids behind with the twins Dad Mickey. Lillie hates Mickey. Bliss (one of the twins) his daughter is scared of him because he yells and screams at them. Pixie loves him because he is nice to her and plays babies with her. Baxter is also scared of the (the other twin) because when he dosnt listen to his Mum she rings Mickey and he sorts Baxter out! When Mickey comes to look after them what will Lillie think?

Reflection Literacy W5T3
Literacy- This week for literacy we have been working on using Maori Words in our writing and also fanboys which are For, and, nor, but, or, yet and so. I learnt how to say park in Maori (Paka) Here is my slide that I have done.
Also for literacy we watched the Peter Rabbit Tale and then we had to fill out a worksheet telling the people what Peter Rabbit was about. I love the Peter Rabbit story because Peter is really naughty! Here is the worksheet.
We also learnt about Coggle and it is like bubbl.us except better! We got to do it on our favorite book and I choose Lillie Alone and we had to include the characters, the story events etc. I learnt how to use coggle and I also learnt that coggles can save by themselves and you dont have to screenshot it. Reflection Numeracy W5T3
Numeracy- This week for numeracy we have been looking at fractions again. I finished my slide and another follow up that we had to do, I learnt how to decompose fractions! It was really fun doing this slide. Here is my learning!

Reflection Literacy/Topic W4T3
Topic- For topic once again we are learning about The Rio Olympics 2016! This week we have been learning about where the Olympics are held this year witch is in Brazil, well if you want to go further Rio De Janeiro Brazil. We had to watch a couple of videos and then read some stuff to find out some information to put on your google drawing! Here is my drawing!
Also on Wacky Thursday we had to make a kind of funny New Report Reporting from Rio De Janerio. I learnt that the only ones in NZ who have won gold medals are Mahe Drysdale, Lisa Carrington and Erica Murray and Hamish Bond. Here is Me and Reagan`s Report.

Book Week 2016
This week was Book Week we have done some really excited stuff and I'm going to tell you about some of them.
On Thursday we had Wacky "Wednesday" due to a special occasion and everyone dressed up as wacky as they could I looked like I had to doughnut in my hair! I think that everyone's wacky look was awesome! When we got to school we all showed each other our wacky dos and then we carried on with our normal day with things around our school that were a bit crazy!
On Tuesday we did buddy reading with our buddy classes which are room 6 and room 15. My buddy is Indie from room 6 she is so cute and she is great at reading and listening to reading. We read All Pigs are Cute and 3 Little Bears. Indie read 3 Little Bears and I read All Pigs are Cute. When Indie had to leave she gave me a massive hug.
Everyday this week we have had 1 Golden Ticket that Mrs Costello has put out around the School for us to find. Syndicate 4 is really good at finding them. I haven't found one yet, but Callum has found one. If you find one of the Golden Tickets you have to take it to Mrs Costello and she will give you your prize. The prize is normally lots of awesome books. I hope I find one next time.
Book Character Day! Book Character Day is where you have to dress up as one of your favorite book character. I chose Harriet Manners out of the Book Series Geek Girl. She looks like a geek and I wore a white blouse a brace, badges, my school pants and geeky glasses. In the morning we have a assembly where everyone gets up on the stage and say what character they are and what book they are out of. I said " I am Harriet Manners Out of the book series Geek Girl." At the assembly the teachers always surprise us with what costumes they are going to wear and then they put on a show for us. This year they dressed up as Harry Potter and all of the team of Harry Potter.
Also This week we had a competition in the Library and if you got a book out on this week you got to chose how many worms were in the jar. I guessed 1006 but I dont think it was right because everyone else put some number in the hundreds.
For book week we made a door display for both of our doors one of them is the BFG and one of them was Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. We made a big massive BFG with materials, but we only done the butt and the legs we haven't done the head. Jacob kindly brought in some potions that his Mum and Dad made for him and we made his potions as dreams because the BFG makes children`s dreams and then give them to the kids. For Charlie and the Chocolate we made an Oompa Loompa and also on our door we have chocolate wrappers.
I have had an awesome week and I can not wait to have book week again next year I think I am going to be Harriet Manners' Friend Amy next time.

This book is awesome because their is a boy that is walking down the street to school and he sees something floating in the river and it was moving. He thought it might of been something important so he jumped into the river and grabbed the rubbish bag and pulled it to the side. When he opened up the bag he saw lots of Grey hound puppies and one of them stood out to him as if he wanted to go home with him. Then a guy came over ( as he was on his way to school ) and helped him carry the bag of puppies to school with him. The teacher is always grumpy at the boy for being late because he always made up the lamest excuses.

Reflection W3T3 Literacy/Topic
Topic- This week for topic we have been learning about the Olympics because of course its the Rio Olympics 2016! I have done a compare and contrast page and also a Paralympic and a inspiration! Here they are!
I found the Inspirational Person really hard to do because I didn`t know much about Nadia until I read her story. All of the websites that I went on were trustworthy and I know this because my teacher has cheeked it and said it was great. I learnt all of the continents of the world! Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, Europe, and The Americas! One interesting fact I learnt was that Sophie Pascoe has no leg from her knee down because her Dad ran her leg over with a ride on lawn mower by accident.

Reflection Week 2
Topic: This week have been studying countries and athletes who are competing in the 2016 Rio Olympics.We had to do 3 google drawings of each I think I have done pretty well.
My next step learning is to get more information about my athletes! We were only allowed to pick athletes that live is NZ. The first athlete I chose was Lisa Carrington here she is!
Lisa Carrington is a canoe sprinter and she is very good at canoe sprinting!
Now Valerie Adams! She is an awesome shot putter!
Finally for Lydia Ko!! She is awesome at golf! It will be her first time at the Olympics and she is 19!!
Now for the countries here is Guatemala! This is a country that is very good at shooting!
Here is Jamaica! Where Usian Bolt lives! He is my favorite athlete.
I am now presenting Djibouti witch isn`t a common country!
