Literacy Reflection W6T4

Literacy- This week for literacy we have been learning why we have wisdom teeth and we did a explanation burger about it.  We also have to add another 3 things onto the doc that we have been doing. We also did a word cloud about the key words in the wisdom teeth writing. Here are my DLOs!!!!

Word Work- This week for word work I deiced to do Mixed Words Here is my DLO. 


Writing- This week for writing I did 2 things one about the big earthquake that we had and one about a made up myth that I made up about a Dragon. Here they are. 

Dragon Myth

Once Upon a Time there was a little baby dragon that just hatched out of it’s egg. It’s name was Ivy the magnificent and one day she was going to save the world. When she was 3 she set off the find somewhere to build a house.

One day she got a call from her mum “Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww”. Her Mum called. She went straight to her Mums house, she told Ivy that she had to save someone.

Ivy went to the person's house and their was a fire and she was so scared and she didn’t know what to do. So she called her Mum to help her but her Mum didn’t get their in time. Ivy had to do it herself so she did and she saved 4 people's life (witch were the only people who were in the house.

I was fast asleep until… Their was a massive noise BANG!! It sounded like a truck crashing into our house. Then the Earthquake started I called out to my Dad and he said "Get up and hide under the table," and I woke Pyper up and we ran out into the lounge and got under our breakfast bar Me my Mum and Pyper all were so scared and my Dad was not under the table he was walking around and checking if everything was OK.

I think it was like 3 and a half minutes later the Earthquake finished and I jumped into Mum and Dad's bed because I was very very scared that their was going to be another one. Then Mum rang lots of people to check if they were OK and safe. After that we looked up what point it was and what place it was in. It was a 7.5 and it was just out of Hanmer Springs in Cheviot.

In Nelson and Christchurch people had to evacuate and we know lots of people who live in those places. I think that the big Earthquake had something to do with the Super Moon that comes here in November!  

Literacy Reflection Week 3

Literacy- This week I had to catch up on the things that we did last week because I was in Rarotonga. We have been learning about why the author writes books and here are my activities on what I learnt. 

Word Work-  This week for word work I did blue vows where you just do your spelling words and then  just color the vows blue

Writing- This is my Writing we had to think of an emotion and write about it but we were not aloud to say what we were really felling. Here is my Screen Castifiy  

Reading- For reading this week we had to find different meanings for words that we didn`t know here is my DLO For this week! The words in Green are the words that I found and the ones in brackets are the ones that Miss Leigh put their.

Word Work- This is my word Work for this week I made 1 paragraph with all of my words in it and it was really hard to join my words together! I think next time my words should be a little bit more harder!

Numeracy- This is my numeracy for this week me and Kaede had to make a screen castifiy about algorithms and I learnt how to carry the one! Here is My Screen Castify This is how to do a algorithm.

Reflection Week 3

Writing- This is my writing we had to write a bit of Charlotte's Web with our favorite character in the book. I learnt when to put paragraphs in my writing and I can now put paragraphs in every piece of writing I do. 

  
Word Work- These are my silly sentences I learnt how to spell representative and I can now use that word more often in my writing. I also learnt how to add my vowels and consonanats. I can now add them all of the time.  A vowel is worth 5 and a consonanat is worth 10.

Numeracy- This is my activity that I did for Numeracy. I learnt what 52x8 is and I am now better and doubling and halving.
My numeracy.

Banqer - In my Expenses I had 5776. I love Banqer and I hope we keep doing this in the next few years. I have $964 in my savings.

My Charlotte's Web- This is my web that I made for our chapter chat Charlotte`s web book. We had to make a web that said some pig on it.
