Writing- This is my Spider report I learnt that the Boy spider does a dance before they have babies and if the Girl spider doesn't like the dance She eats his head off. I found finding information hard.
Spider Report
Food
Spiders eat all different sorts of insects one of them are Flies. They catch the flies with their webs. They leave the flies stuck in the web until they are hungry then, they suck all of the blood out of the flies. When they are outside they also get hungry and when they haven't caught anything in their web they eat the grass and flowers. Also if you find a daddy long legs don't kill it because they eat other types of spiders.
Appearance
Spiders have long hairy legs that are sometimes sticky so they can climb up walls. Spiders have lots and lots of little hairs all over their bodies. They have 8 legs and their legs sometimes look like sticks. Sometimes spiders are really skinny like white tails. But sometimes they are fat, really fat like weatas. All Wetas have nippers and they look like their ears but trust me they arint. Some spiders look really scary and boystris like the red back. Spiders come in all different colors shapes and sizes. They can be, big, small, round, square, pink or even purple.
Life Cycle
The Spider life cycle goes like this, Egg, Baby, Adult, Then they have 2000 Babies at a time. First the Mummy spider has 2000 eggs then they all hatch and turn into babies. Next they grow and grow and keep eating until they turn into Adults. When they become adults the spiders have babies! Finally the spider gets older and older until it dies. Also sometimes this life cycle doesn't happen because they get killed by humans or predators.
Habitat
A normal Spiders habitat is in the warmth. Usually under stuff sometimes I even find them in wood heaps or under rocks. One of their favorite places are in gumboots. Garages are nice and warm to so if you're looking for a spider look in your garage or shed. Also on tree branches they love the color brown because usually they are brown so they can camouflage into the branch.
Predators/Prey
Their Prey is Bugs, insects and also flies because they are the kinds of things that they can catch in their webs. But their predators are things like birds and the daddy long legs because they love to eat spiders.
Topic- This week for topic we have been doing ANZAC Activities I learnt that their were Mascots in WW1. This is the Link to my Answering questions slide. Answering Questions. I now know that their were mascots in WW1. I found the bit where you had to say what it would have been like for the soldiers.

Lest we Forget the ones buried deep in in the ground

WW1 Events and their Effects:

Dogs:

Sometimes the dogs get a little to protective and bite the soldiers. They also sometime get over excited and bite as well and that would also affect the soldier's family.

Rats:

The Rats always crawled up to the soldier when they were sleeping in the Trenches and then when they woke up their would be poo all over them from the mice YUCK!! I would hate the mice.

Trench Foot:

I would hate to get trench foot all of the mud on your feet and all of the mold.

Letters:
|
I think they would of been home sick reading the letters from family, all of your whole family would want to know if you are OK.

Meal Tins:
|
I would not like to eat food straight out of a tin. ex , spaghetti, tomatoes.

Tomb of the Unknown Warrior:

You're Dead and they put your body inside a tomb which is like a cave.

Broken Families:
|
That would not be a good felling and it would of happened to a lot of families.

Numeracy- This is my Timeline and my slide show about what I learnt during our time sessions. I learnt about 24 hour time. Did you know that 13:00 is actually 1:00 because all you have to do is take 12 of 13 and it becomes one. Lets say that its 15:00 just take 12 off and it becomes 3:00.
